John A. Lauricella has been in business for over 50 years at the iconic salon at 5422 Main Street and has has enjoyed 3 different names but always the same great services. Now operating under the name Salon Gemma we are home to more than our fair share of the best hair stylists, colorists and nail techs in the state of New York.
In 1970 our salon was a very different salon. Since that time, we’ve evolved much like the western New York area. 50 years ago Buffalo was a blue collar town and we were a very young business but today, there is much more sophisticated look in Buffalo, with a stronger feeling towards fashion, style and trend. Our salon has evolved with the changes in the region and have earned a world class reputation. Membership over the years to world renowned hair and fashion organizations, such as Intercoiffure Mondial, Toronto Guild off Hair Design and Haute Coiffure Francais. Have opened doors and windows to the fashion world experience by only a few western New Yorkers. A large proportion of our staff has been with us for decades and is highly skilled in their field. They in turn mentor our younger extremely talented staff to create an inspired, exciting fashion environment which creates client retention far beyond the norm. .
